The Threshold — Where Light Dances Through Leaves
Location Bangalore
Typology Residential Interiors
Size 2,500sqft
The house is designed to emphasize volume and light, perched on the top floor to fully embrace its surroundings. Entry begins through a low-height foyer that gradually unfolds into a dramatic double-height space crowned with a skylight—creating a moment of visual release and spatial surprise. The staircase, light in form and structure, complements the feature wall behind it, which serves as the visual anchor of the entire hall.
The kitchen and dining area, framed by a picture window, open out to a vast expanse of sky—blurring the line between interior warmth and the openness beyond.
Bedrooms, positioned on this upper level, open onto balconies that overlook the rain tree canopy, offering serene views framed by foliage. Beyond, distant high-rises create a layered urban backdrop, visible thanks to the home’s elevated position. The top floor leads to a private terrace, acting as a seamless threshold between indoors and out—perfect for quiet reflection or social gatherings.
